Cubase and Cubasis Win Press Awards at Musikmesse

Steinberg Cubase Pro 9.0

Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH celebrated a double-award win at the Musikmesse trade show’s MIPA (Musikmesse International Press Award) awards night.

The 18th MIPA saw more than 100 international magazines vote for the best musical instruments and audio equipment of 2016 and 2017 in 38 categories. Nominated in two categories, Steinberg received its first MIPA of the night for Cubase Pro 9 in the category Recording Software. The second MIPA was given to Steinberg for Cubasis 2 in the category Mobile Music App.

Used for composing, recording, mixing and editing music by producers and musicians the world over, Cubase Pro packs close to three decades of development and innovation into one of the most advanced DAWs today.

With a strong focus on usability and straightforward workflows, Cubasis is Steinberg’s multitouch music production app, with recording, editing and mixing capabilities tailored to the iPad.

“To have won two awards at this year’s international press award show is not only an acknowledgement of the work that our teams have put into providing these two exceptional programs, but rather a celebration of what Steinberg stands for: our passion for music and the pursuit to deliver applications and service that positively impact the industry and communities,” commented Stefan Trowbridge, PR manager at Steinberg.

Director of Marketing Frank Simmerlein said: “We are elated to have received two awards at the Musikmesse, especially if I consider the overall quality of the nominated products. I would like to dedicate these awards to our loyal customers for their continued support. They are the reason why we are doing this, and they are the driving force that make our products better every year.”
