Re: Drop D Blues fingerstyle as taught to a student using Yamaha THR10

Makes me want to go sit in a rocker on the porch. Course it's only 25 degrees so thats's out. Would love to learn the alternate base picking but just don't seem to have the coordination.
Very cool.

Re: New toy

Just thought I would give you an update on the board and the man cave. Shortly after my last post I applied the sealer I spoke of. We have had some good rain and snow melt and nary a drop of water has appeared. An unsolicited testimonial for Sani Tred. I ordered another small batch to reapply tomorr...

Re: SA-5

I checked out the SA30s in the link with painted F holes. Must have been a clever tech to get them wired up.

Re: SA-5

Man now it's a memory test. I'm sure the E is a 10 but beyond that I would be guessing. Yes the blond is sweet but, strangely enough I want a green one. I know you said the SA 5 is better but is it possible that the feel is more unit specific as opposed to a difference in the models in general? Like ...

Interesting that the author claims that a circuit design can't be patented. A surprise to me.

Re: Introducing myself and my SA30 and SG2000

I am unsure of the chronology of these. Were the 5 and the 15 concurrent and then replaced by the 30 and 50? You need to spend more time on my website... it's all there :D Have been to your site before but bookmark was on old computer. Just FYI if you see this post the number of my SA5 is 789 so ab...

Re: SC1200

Mud Guy Very nice guitar. Really love the blond racing stripe look. I've been tempted by that model on several occasions but never pulled the trigger. Here are a couple of mine based on the same body. An SSC 500. This was one of my first Yamaha electrics bought several years ago. It was brought home...

Re: Introducing myself and my SA30 and SG2000

Well mine is actually an SA 5 but at least to me the neck on the 5 feels completely different. I don't use the trem so that has no bearing on it and all opinions are subjective so I can only say my SA 5( which I think differs only in pickups from the 50) feels better in the hand. Your reults may va...

Re: Introducing myself and my SA30 and SG2000

Welcome to the site Emanuel. Nice guitars.
I remember seeing a Frusciante video where he talked about his SG and said he essentially had to learn to play all over again. Hope you enjoy them. And if you ever get a chance to deal on an SA 50 go for it as it is a definite step up from the 30.

RIP Dolores O Riordan

I didn't really follow her career and don't listen to classic rock stations so pretty much lost track of her. But she made some beautiful music and that is a gift to the music world that is now, sadly, gone. And way way too young .
