Re: Eastwood crowdsourcing a Yamaha SX 800B production run

Well I already have a pair of SA15s as well as a SG3c but no SG2c so I'll have to contemplate.

Re: SA-90

Very nice and thanks for thinking of me. Unfortunately cash is a little restricted right now.
Does it look to you that it has a lot of wear on the back of the neck or is it just the grain?

Re: Laminated Maple vs Laminated Sycamore

Don't have any sycamore semis but I do have sycamore acoustics. They are bright like a maple would normally be. Don"t know about laminates. Apparently Yamaha started making good laminated acoustics a long time ago.

You could send it to me for a month I promise I'll take good care of it.

Yes yes very nice but where is my updated and accurate archive that was supposed to come back? Surely they could spend a buck or two on their heritage. :D

Even at the time I bought mine they didn't seem too common. Maybe more so in the UK?

Yamaha CSf guitars

Just happened to be browsing Ebay yesterday and much to my surprise I see that they have re issued the CSF series. I've had the original CSF60 and 60C ( kind of an extreme Venetian cutaway) for quite a while. Mine were made in Taiwan but I see the new ones are made in China. Anybody tried one of the...

I know it's not really a pedal but would a Pandora qualify?

Re: Dream Guitar Gear - What would you choose?

Wait wait !!! Do I have to give up all the rest of my Yams? Is this a plot to flood the market with good used Yamahas? 8O Amp wise I'm unsure but for a guitar it's got to be Carlos' original Buddha SG and I would also probably take Phaser. I do agree that the Weddington would be a delicious alternat...

I think that finish is called Clownburst. Pretty awful.
Maybe they forgot to put a decimal after the 4 .

Re: A recent arrival

Jeff It has strong responsive pickups and plays as nice as my custom with fewer options to confuse the feeble minded like me. I don't have a modern SG to compare but I don't think it's superior to my old SGs. Have no played my Weddington Standard in a while so can't do a comparison with that right n...

Image Standard Do blondes have more fun? I'm not crazy about the black knobs. Might change to gold speed knobs. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e33/oldtroll/yamahaguitars/imagestandard1_zpstgxgwwun.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e33/oldtroll/yamahaguitars/imagestandard2_zpszxvdnahq.jpg http...
