Re: I need your amp advice

I am loving my Yamaha G50 II with the paraEQ. They are clean like Roland JC but less pricey and only thing I recommend is upgrading the speaker

No there are still 3 models available according to Yamaha's web site
Oh I feel like an idiot, I checked various countries of the Yamaha guitar page and both the RGX and RGA2 are still listed. I guess Yamaha doesn't bother selling the RGX in US or Canada since its too competitive.

RGX produced for Malaysia or south east Asia

Some RGX guitars popped up on my Reverb Feed but listed brand new from Malaysia. Turns out lower level Rgx are still being produced for the Malaysian market to the least of my knowledge. I thought the line ended years ago https://my.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/guitars_basses/el_guitar...

Re: My first and second Yamaha vintage amp

What's the story on the TA amps? I believe models 30, 60, and 120? There's a TA-60 on craigslist for $1100, but a quick Google indicates that's a ridiculous price. 00q0q_3D4mZkpPl4W_600x450.jpg00J0J_gaE8kXjp0N7_1200x900.jpg01212_8tgb4ABFRdi_600x450.jpg I been seeing them for high prices but they do...

Re: New Pacifica pages

The 1400 range pages are now up and I am doing the 1200 range now. There is a puzzle about the 1200 range manufacture which I am working on but wondered if anyone out there knew more. There are definitely some out there that say made in Taiwan on them some sources say made in Japan but no official ...

Re: 1982 Yamaha SG1000 or 2000 help to identify

I can't really tell with the pictures. If its a 2000, it would have a neck through body and can possibly see or feel the construction on the guitar.

Nice amp, do you know what the difference is with the F50 amp?
You know I seen some pictures of the F50 amp and they look the same. The only one I saw on a website was on Reverb for a Japanese store, so the best guess is that it was the branding for the Japanese market.

Re: Yamaha G50 II

Still loving the amp, I also upgraded a Fender Santa Ana Overdrive to pair with the distortion and gives the amp that nice tube overdrive. I am going have have to replace the crackling speaker. There is a Celestion G12H in town for $70 I might pick to swap it but does anyone have any recommendations?

Re: MSG and AEX1500 from Martyn Booth

That pretty cool that Martyn Booth responded. Yamaha seems to keep their outside designers in the dark. I was reading about those T100C and T50C amps designed by Soldano that were cheapen from the original design to save cost but doesn't measure up to Soldano's amps.

Yamaha G50 II

Since that YTA 45 was too pricey to ship and the G5 got shipped to my house and not where I was staying, I got found a really nice G50 II for a good price. I was playing a G30 at a Guitar Center and was liking it but when I compared it to the prices and reviews for the G50 II, the G50 was a better d...

Re: My first and second Yamaha vintage amp

Turns out I will just get the G5, the YTA 45 was too big and gave me only a DHL option of $360 which I had to drop. I thought I would just pay at most $150 and have it shipped through boat but I had no choice. I still am getting the G5 but the shipping amkes the amp average price, I though that was ...

You are right just because they are dirt cheap still. I will probably pick up a TA, a G50 II, and T100C if find them for a steal.

Re: My first and second Yamaha vintage amp

Got number 2. Not the most best price like the other but still a great price for one of the most adorable and practical mini amps made
