Re: No winds?

Hi BillO, don't think I got a chance to welcome you to the forum before so WELCOME :) Personally I would be more than happy to see brass players on the forum. We just have not had any posting before or not that I can remember anyway. I guess that is a bit of a catch 22 really because people will onl...

Re: Casio CT-X700 Review and First Impressions

Thanks for that comment Jose and I am sure Phil will appreciate it too. As you can see, he plays just fine using his own method (Y) This whole thing about what is "correct" and what is not puts a LOT of people off playing a musical instrument, be it piano, guitar, violin etc. People forget that ther...

Re: MX 61 MIDI in and out?

Hi Bjarne, welcome to the forums :) You should be able to map the sounds in Cubase so they trigger the correct sounds in the MM6. I am not a MIDI guy as although I do play keyboard my main instrument has always been acoustic guitar. We do however have plenty of MIDI experts on the forum and I am sur...

Re: DTX-Multi 12: Avoid machine gunning with layers?

Hi André and welcome to the forums :) I don't know much about drums but I am surprised that you would get a machine-gun like effect playing fast repetition with the same velocity. I would have thought the Yamaha DTX-Multi 12 would provide almost the same experience as playing an acoustic drum set, a...

Re: Replacing the standard revstar nut with TUSQ

Looks great to me. (Y)

I have never been a fan of gloss necks anyway and am not quite sure why manufacturers make them. For me it inhibits smooth movement up and down the neck.

Re: Intermittent Static / crackling noise while playing

In my case, it was not a Modx issue, just some open-ended cables that were shamefully plugged in into my mixing console... :) Well at least you sorted it :) These things can be incredibly difficult to track down or as in your case incredibly easy. Very glad it wasn't anything to do with the MODX th...

Re: Yamaha Fg800 sounds weird

Hi Evonel and welcome to the forums :) The FG800 is a great guitar and I really like the one I had on test. As Peter said it seems your guitar just needs tuning. It sounds like someone was had already been playing it in an alternate tuning, either in the store or perhaps someone had bought it and re...

Re: Replacing the standard revstar nut with TUSQ

Excellent first post their Richard and a very warm welcome to the forum    Details like this are incredibly valuable to people looking to get rid of that really awful nut that Yamaha fitted to the revstar. Sometimes makes me quite angry that they thought it was ok to fit such a low...

Re: CASIOTONE is back!

I have been a Prime Member for a very long time. Never had any problems although I suppose I have not actually needed to return much but, the items I did need to return were credited to my account almost straight away. Also bought loads of Ebay and I think only once did something not arrive but Ebay...

The forum software is called 'Discource' so it is in the title of the thread, I think it safe to say this one can be hammered ;)

Re: CASIOTONE is back!

Consumer protection is unfortunately not quite as good in the USA as it is here in the UK. Here the contract is with the retailer and they need to sort out any problems. You can also get a full refund if the item is faulty. You can also get a refund if you just don't like the goods as long as you re...

Re: What do you guys think about discourse?

It's a managed forum software solution hosted on their own servers for a pretty crazy $100 a month. Completely bonkers :/:

What it has to do with this forum is another matter. My money is on spammer but lets see.

Re: "Guitar" Fingers . . . .

Looks like she has been a VERY enthusiastic player there Chris :music-guitarred: 8O I don't really get that any more. I used to when I started out. What I find is that some people press far too hard on the strings than they need to and then end up with really sore fingers as a result. As with so man...

Re: CASIOTONE is back!

Over here in the UK the CT-S300 and CT-X700 are pretty much the same price so I would definitely go with the CT-X700. It sounds better and is just as portable...minus the built in carry handle of course. I think in the USA the CT-X700 is around $179.00 and the CT-S300 is around $140.00 so more of a ...
