Re: DX7 Supplemental Booklets Online Archive
Does anyone know where to find the sysex for the voices and performances etc referred to in booklets 21 & 22? They were originally on a floppy disk and a cassette.

Re: DX7 Supplemental Booklets Online Archive
Thanks, Rawl and sockmonkey. It seems I already had 02, 04 and 09, but as smaller files / lower resolution. Maybe I got those from yahoo groups, or the newer groups.io; I'm not sure. I didn't have 21 and 22 though, and those are more directly relevant to synths I actually own (TX81Z and TX802), plus...

Thanks, Miks and Derek.
I found that .co.uk site once, but when I looked for it again I found the .com one and thought it was the same site, just more broken than I remembered.

Re: All the original downloads on EX5tech still alive...
Were these files ever made available? Unless I'm missing something, the ex5tech site is now as close to defunct as makes little difference. Any links which might relate to downloading some of the files just give an error, and there does not appear to be any way to join, to gain access to any members...

Thanks, clemvcv. I don't see booklets 2 & 4 there though, for the DX7 II-FD.

Re: Floyd Steinberg EX5 Voice Set on EX5Tech UK
You can find the voice set here: http://www.ex5tech.co.uk/patches.html Thanks for the link. I found a few broken links on that page, so I'm listing them here. A few were just typos, by the look of it,and I was able to guess a couple of them. Some are external links that don't work any more. The htt...

Re: Yamaha Reset List
Does anyone have the rest of that service manual? It should be 30+ pages, but this one stops at page 15, after the self tests.Saul wrote: ↑Wed Dec 28, 2022 2:35 pm
You can download the full service manual here:

Re: Wx7 service repair manual
@desmondo - Ah yes, I vaguely remember replacing each pair of parallel-wired 47uF caps with a single 100uF cap. CB Not wishing to seem pedantic, but from the schematic given in the WX7 service manual, the caps are not parallel wired. Two of them have their positive terminals wired together, and thr...

Re: FM-Alive/DX Manager
Hi Jon, Thanks. I'm not sure if I have that option, in Windows 7... wouldn't it just update itself to the same version though? I'm tempted to install it somewhere else, if that's a way of avoiding automatic updating. I'll try it soon, when I have the energy to pay attention properly, so I don't run ...

Re: FM-Alive/DX Manager
Is there a way to avoid the One Click automatic update process? Is it possible to revert to an older version, e.g. by saving the zip version of the installer, if a new version turns out to have problems? I'd like to avoid the sort of problem Rawl had where an automatic update broke something. I'm ge...

So it does. I hadn't noticed there should be more. I've added a note to that post.
This one seems to have been scanned at a lower resolution, but has the missing pages:

Re: Yamaha PSS x80 series sound editor - bobby's PSSedit
I noticed this Cntlr link over and over - are those freeware programs and would they run in say Audacity, or it needs to be a more sophisticated DAW? I've never owned a Mac, but I've used Ctrlr in Windows with Cantabile (a less well known DAW). It works with the free version, but I got the cheapest...

Re: Yamaha PSS x80 series sound editor - bobby's PSSedit
Hi guys, my old web site is still up and running, and it is actually a web space from my internet provider - it will not be deleted anytime soon: members.chello.at/bobby100/ PSSEdit is under "My old programs", and it is really old - I wrote it 19 years ago :) Sometime in 2015, I got an em...
