It looks VERY cool, making a library available without a computer, so here's some tube clips to show the functions.
Yes, it looks cool, but $225 is more than 2/3 of the THR10 price...Sure it must be more practical on stage than a PC, but for that price we could find a small notebook...

Re: Presets and Editor questions

Hi SanDiegoDennis 2) Is there a way to capture the factory (or modified) presets as patches (so they show in the list of 100) without re-creating them based on the specific setting values? Just press the preset button, then save the patch in the THR Editor. 3) can a given patch in a library be 'assi...

Re: THR Editor not working

Hi NIGEL,

I would try to uninstall THR Editor then reinstall.
I am not a Windows specialist, but I think there is also some options for compatibility with old software. You can look in that direction...

Re: Using the THR10 under Linux

Hi jhale1,

you can try to install the latest version (package wine-development under Ubuntu):

Code: Select all

$ sudo apt install wine-development
If there is a problem, please paste all the messages appearing in the terminal.

Re: Need help with THR10C

I've had my THR10c six months. At first, vanloads of gainy tone. Lately, can't seem to get anything but clean, even on the gainier amp models--Class A, Brit Blues, & Mini. Welcome 3buddhas, I don't have a 10C but I fear there is a circuit problem inside... :? You should be able to have that kind of...

Re: Yamaha THR: Patch request/help needed

Hi Suncloud, I now understand what a compressor does, I think: if the audio signal is reduced then you get break up of sound, right? This way I do get more sustain. Great. I am not sure to exactly understand what you mean by "break up". I think the parts of a note which have a high volume (the attac...

Re: Yamaha THR: Patch request/help needed

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_range_compression "A compressor reduces the level of an audio signal if its amplitude exceeds a certain threshold. " In the THR Editor, there is two compressors: the simplest is "Stomp" with only two knobs (sustain and output). I have not yet explored that e...

Re: Yamaha THR: Patch request/help needed

It's a nice sound. I would start from the position Lead, max gain, max master and max bass, and hall reverb. And then trying to modify those settings. You can also try to activate the Compressor in the THR Editor. The problem is that the sound depends also a lot on your pickups. I have got an SSH st...

Re: THR10C very loud hum/squeal

Just remembered this. I wrote to my landlord who sent someone to do some work on the sockets in my livingroom. This fixed part of the problem. The other part of the problem, crackling was *blush* a poor connection at the guitar jack. Oh well.. now I learned how to do soldering. Great ! fo...

Re: THR10 Synth Patches

Hi will, if you mean using some kind of sampling, no, it is not possible. The THR Editor just allow you to set the parameters of each amp effect: reverb, delay, noise gate, compression, etc. But you can access some parameters or parameter values that you can not access from the amp's knobs. For exam...

Re: THR10C very loud hum/squeal

Did a few more tests this morning and found out that all sockets on the kitchen group are fine (kitchen, bath, loo) and all on the other one (livingroom, hall, bedroom) are not. OK, so it seems the earth is good in rooms with water, where the danger is maximum. But it's still a problem for the othe...
