Re: Casio CT-X700 Review and First Impressions

The CT-X comes with a music stand so yes there is a space on the keyboard itself to put your phone but you can also put it on the stand. Also of course big enough for an iPad or Android tab. Regarding what to do with your left hand? I am sure there are plenty of people who will advise you to learn ...

Re: DX7 II FD collapses to white noise on boot

You are doing a very good job on this! As an electronic repairman for decades, I can tell you I have found all kind of uncommon problems. Don't take for granted that the PCB itself is good. I have seen cases of internally shorted traces (on multi-layer PCBs) and also different leakage resistances ev...

Do check out the SY77 and AN1x together. They go together like peaches and cream! :)
Thanks for the hint!

Yes, the 4th synth setup could be a synth dream, with the SY77, AN1x and then an extra one... Perhaps the Roland Fantom G6 as a controller for all?

Re: My latest acquisition: AN1x

That's a nice collection you have there. I really like the sound of the AN1x! I was just considering the Kontrol Mk2 and Keylab MKII the other day, planning on getting a mid-sized controller or synth. How do you like the feel of their keybeds? As I have both keyboards one over the other, I have bee...

Re: My latest acquisition: AN1x

Congrats Jose that is a lovely bit of kit (Y)   Surely you must be running out of space by now? Well, it is not possible to fit all the gear, so I have configured three permanent setups, which right now are these: Setup 1 - lower floor That is my main (mostly) only-piano playing ...

Re: My visit to Guitar Center in New York

I leave on 13th and don't think my wife will be happy to go back to the music store

The bad thing is that the MODX series were just over the Montage so I didn't either played any of them

My visit to Guitar Center in New York

Yesterday I visited a nice music store, Guitar Center in New York. They had quite a selection of interesting keyboards and I could directly compare the actions with some of the ones I own. That proved to be very good, as now I know it is worth to spend in the future some extra money to get a top-lev...

Re: Got a EX5!

How I hate to see (and suffer) those kind of shipping disasters. I had a similar case with a perfect looking SY77, which arrived smashed at both ends due also to careless packaging

I feel your pain

Re: Genos Firmware Updater V1.41

Not working?. Under which circumstances?. Mine worked fine on 1.4, I have not yet checked on 1.41 as I updated it and, on same day, took the plane to NYC, where I am still :)

Saul, you are a mind reader, I've just got up and it's now Monday morning. I'm sitting here compiling a list of all the things I need so that I can post some questions to your knowledgeable members. Thankfully an audio interface is not on my must have list but I do agree with you that Yamaha have m...
