Re: TG77 DataBlade and Microtonality

Bump... Can anyone out there help me with this? I need to find a way to edit a micro scale on the internal memory and then save that tuning onto the card memory. Is there ANYWAY could achieve this? If not, I'm afraid I have no use for my DB :( It's confusing because the memory cards are advertised f...

Re: TG77 DataBlade and Microtonality

Hi Sonus (or anyone else that could help), I'm digging back into this and my question is basically distilled to this: How do I get a customizes tuning from the Internal memory to the Card memory? When the DataBlade is inserted I see that there are micro tuning options "C-1" and "C-2" but how am I su...

TG77 DataBlade and Microtonality

OK so I now have a DataBlade with 32 partitions of memory. This allows me a total of 64 custom micro tunings. According to the manual, an internal voice can't use a micro tuning on a card and a voice on a card can't use an internal micro tuning. So what I thought I'd be doing was: 1) custom edit a m...

Programming SysEx for TX802

Hello, I am fairly new to SysEx and looking some help. Typically, my process in finding out my synths sysex codes is by changing the param on the unit while it's midi out feeds into my MIDI Monitor App. That identifies the codes and then I can program my MIDI KB hardware (Novation SL mkii) from ther...

TX 802 or DX7ii SysEx Parameter List

Hello, I'd like to control my TX802 using my midi keyboard (Novation SL mkii).

Can anyone send or attach a pdf or a link to the full System Exclusive parameter list of the TX802? The manual doesn't include it but hints that it's out there somewhere.

Thanks in advance

Re: Programming SySex on TG77

Ok, I figured out my hang up. Basically the fader on my midi controller was just freezing at whatever value I set the V2 to. What I didn't understand was to set the V2 Byte value to a DV (in Novation language) or Data Variable. Once I programmed my KB to have a DV on the V2 Byte, everything came tog...

Re: Programming SySex on TG77

Derek, thanks for taking the time to break this all down. Extremely helpful. I'll have time early next week to dig into all this and will keep you posted.

More soon and again thanks!

Programming SySex on TG77

Hello everyone, As the assignable CC list is limited on the TG77, I'd like to learn how to control parameter changes via SySex. I've done a bunch of research and am beginning to understand but need some help. Can anyone break down exactly what each byte does in a SySex thread for this synth? I see i...

TG77 DataBlade and Microtonality

Hello everyone, I am a microtonal composer and very inspired by the TG77. Without expanded data memory, the TG77 only lets you customize 2 microtonal scales, or "Internal micro tuning memory" according to the manual (page 106-107). I understand that a MCD64 data card will allow me additional Interna...
