android app for quick song ideas

Is there a decent android recording app for quick song ideas? Most are made for voice only and don't record instruments (keyboard) very well. Last one sounded like it was under water :) I just needed something I can grab fast that will not be so muddy for playback. .. I know the sound quality will s...

Re: Ibanez AE245

Wow, I love that! I didn't even know those things existed! It looks like minimal pressure is required to press on the "strings". My problem is that my left middle can't bend very much, but if the pressure and finger strength required is much less, one wonders if other fingers could compensate. While...

Re: Ibanez AE245

If there is a remedy someday, wouldn't it be cool to be able to play both guitar and keyboard? I believe there are good things ahead, in whatever form they come, but I'm definitely open to any medical advances .. not just for me, but for so many others who suffer a lot more than I do. I'm just glad ...

Re: Ibanez AE245

Today I was looking at Keith Richard's famous, gnarled fingers. Somebody said they have been looking better lately. Not sure if that's true. I noticed the swelling is on the dip joints, above the fingernail, which is a sign of osteoarthritis. You can still bend your fingers sometimes with that. If t...

Re: Ibanez AE245

Right now, the most effective arthritis treatment is stem cell injections into the affected joints..(your own stem cells). Insurance won't pay for it but the results are remarkable. I'm going to see a hand surgeon to see if anything would help. Still, I can play keyboard by using my hands a little d...

Re: Ibanez AE245

Now that I feel like I will, afterall, be able to play my songs on a different instrument.. (I can see that it is doable and maybe even provide a whole new flavor to them) ..I am venturing out in the guitar forums and not feeling the twinge quite so much. This is a really beautiful sounding guitar a...

Re: portable keyboard

I actually bought an older Casio and gave it to my granddaughter so I could play at my daughter's house. My daughter didn't want it taking up room as my granddaughter's room is a little crowded, so back home it came. It's too big and clunky to take back and forth. I'm going to polish up the JVC, car...

I had one of those roll up keyboards.
There is no tactile feel on them.
They are nearly impossible to play.

I ended up cutting the key part of it off and using it as framed wall art.

Haha! :D Hey, that would be cool hanging on the wall!

Re: portable keyboard

Always best to see an unbiased YouTube user review, I guess. They were sounding a lot better on the seller's channel. I should have known. Those two are stinko :? The Konix was actually the one I was considering because it sounded the most like a piano, but either one would be frustrating. I dug out...

portable keyboard

I am feeling a glimmer of hope as I'm able more and more to adapt the songs I wrote from guitar to keyboard. I'm able to find the same notes I used for fingerstyle guitar to embellish the chords. (I'll also be listening to any advice on authentic sounding guitar user tones in the future). This is th...

unusual instruments

While looking at piano tutorials, I found this. Probably it has been seen by most, but I found it interesting:

Re: FlashDance on Youtube - Feedback Welcome, Thanks.

When I first started playing guitar, a friend told me I needed to practice with a metronome. At first it was confining (and the tick-tock was annoying). It was hard stay inside the rhythm, but before long it became internal, automatic. Eventually you just naturally play in time. And it doesn't cramp...

I used to love Janis Ian's song about growing pains as a teenager, "At Seventeen"

Re: Young Singer Songwriter Needs Our Help

Did it. I love honest songs. As she grows in her skill, I expect to see more of her songs in the future.
