Re: Is the FS1R I bought damaged or just poor build quality?

the pictures taken and shown in the listing are probably deliberate in terms of their angles to mask the issues That's what I believe, too. It's easy to hide something with the right camera angle. Look carefully at the picture in my previous post, can you see the 88 keys Alesis Fusion sitting under...

Re: Is the FS1R I bought damaged or just poor build quality?

Hi, I agree that if you wish to return it, then opening it up is not a good move. I also agree that the pictures taken and shown in the listing are probably deliberate in terms of their angles to mask the issues, so a good chance that it was like this before posting, but hard to prove. Here are some...

Re: Is the FS1R I bought damaged or just poor build quality?

Without pulling my FS1r out of the rack (which I can do when I am home if you wish) to even compare pictures. I would agree with you. Looks like it has taken a whack due to poor packing. I have seen this before with other rack units in work due to the results of heavy handed couriers.

Re: EX5 as a keyboard Controller for PC/DAW/VSTi

Hi, Take a look at P272 of the owner's manual. Under Utility/F8 CTRL you can set the MIDI CC numbers for the different controllers, and scale them to taste as well. So that allows you to set the controllers to specific CC numbers if you want to match to an existing scheme you use across your VSTs - ...

Hi,

I think the interest would be there for completeness, if you would be so kind to scan.

Re: A terrible wrong step!

It’s time for Royal Commision to take politics out of the NHS debate and come up with a model for going forwards. It is kept running by great staff fighting a sclerotic bureaucracy and a funding model designed for 1950s population level, who had a lower life expectancy and lower expectations of what...

Re: STUDIOMASTER MA36 midi analyser

Agreed. Whist MIDOX is my main tool for diagnosing MIDI, I got one of this for my "emergency gig box" along with a Cable Tester , which makes cable testing so much easier than trying to pick out cores with a multi-meter. I still haven't used the MA36, but it is there "just in case", and it is better...

Re: reface cp hands-on review

Yup. Yamha denied bugs in the EX5 SYSEX implementation despite me sending clear evidence (as others had done before me). Guess what? They said there can’t be any SYSEX bugs as the EX5 does not support it - despite me using their buggy implementation and working around the issues I documented to get ...

Re: Awave and EX5

Hi There, I have recently purchased an EX5. I bought one new when they first came out, but foolishly sold it. Now after all these years, I have come full circle. Anyhow, I'm trying to put some wav files on an sd card to load up in the EX5. I'm using the SCSI2SD V5 with the latest firmware (4.7). I ...

Re: Motif8 keys info

Hi, whilst not specifically for the Motif, you can find a key repair guide on my xfactory site

http://www.xfactory-librarians.co.uk/guides.html

This was for an SY99, which was similar to my EX5, which is probably very similar to the Motif. Be prepared to unscrew lots of screws....

Re: RIP Ray Thomas (Moody Blues)

Yes, the music lives on as a legacy, and what a staggering diversity we have to listen to. Lots of new classics as well, I spent my Christmas iTunes vouchers solely on new music from “Big Big Train”, “The Mute Gods”, “Karmamechanic”, “Panic Room” and “Lifesigns” It is good times we live in to be a m...
