It's funny. When I came to unpack my gear on Sunday after my gig on Saturday night, I could have sworn I had my Korg Kronos in here!

So that is what I did. Higher than what I am willing to sell for, but lower than the others that were on Reverb

Re: The Dangers of AI Submission on Forums
When I first lost the ability to play guitar, I'm really glad my lame questions about keyboard and recording weren't dismissed on here and that the answers weren't demeaning. AI is information, but that extra human touch is nice. I think AI definitely has it's place and I'm not adverse to it, but i...

Re: Why are so many people already dumping their Yamaha Montage M8x??
Some people are just completely unrealistic though and think they can get almost what they paid for something. This is true. There can also be an element of, as in my case with my Montage 7, putting it up for a higher price first, to see if anybody bites at that price. Nobody has, so I will now sta...

Re: Why are so many people already dumping their Yamaha Montage M8x??
I was sorely tempted by a Montage with PolyAT, but I do think Yamaha did get it wrong by not offering Poly AT on the M7 at least. Derek, I know it's not exactly the same, but I've been enjoying my "Montage M6x". I have a Korg Keystage 61 with poly AT and the ESP plugin. Works quite well I...

Re: Why are so many people already dumping their Yamaha Montage M8x??
I would say for any analysis to be meaningful, we need to know how many units have been sold. And I doubt Yamaha will reveal that. E.g. the five items listed: Is that 100%, 10%, 1%, 0.1%, 0.01%, etc. of total sales? I.e. for those five units on sale you may have 100s of happy users. And my way of co...

Re: Yamaha m8x USB stick format and MacOS
I allow a few seconds after seeing the Montage has finished to allow for any cached write data to be flushed to disk and that has been fine on both the Montages I have owned since 2017. That and ensuring using good quality sticks.

Re: Yamaha m8x USB stick format and MacOS
I have an Montage M7 (and classic Montage before that) and Windows PCs in my Studio and a Mac running Somona as my main general use computer, and they all read each others content just fine. I do find that the Montage can be a little fussy with some of the older sticks I have lying about. I am using...

Re: Money is NOT a Gas . . . . .
Great album. Very underrated, and I love the title. 👍👍👍 It sort of got overshadowed (or maybe obscured😉) by DSOTM in the grand scheme, but very worthwhile and original. Can you imagine if bands were not given the time to grow as artists and musicians back then like they’re not today. So much of wha...

That was Chris's not mine, but, yeah, it would be an interesting title, now there would an interesting lounge topic in its own right

Re: Double MODX rig - but the organs...
Hi, My two penneth worth is that if you want a great organ you should go the modelled organ route. I would use a Montage organ only if I had no other option. My Kronos CX-3 engine is nearly twenty years old and it still beats the Montage hands down, and this is before you get into the VST options, w...
