Re: Yamaha QS300 reset proceedure

@ Rog1010: please check your PM's... Thing is you'll need a disk containing the factory settings to 'resore' the keyboard... :? Edit : just found this: 1. Turn Power On 2. Press SONG]+[EXIT] - you will see the date and version screen, then it goes to test screen 3. Press [ENTER] to restore fa...

Re: PSR 6300 - problems chip

Not familiar with Yamaha PSR keyboards - but: whilst you have (or had) it open did you happen to see if it has a battery on (one of) the board(s)? If there is one - maybe it is dead and needs to be replaced by a fresh one - followed by another reset procedure to see if this cures the issue?

Re: SG700S pot is bust - help please

I dare throwing in two websites which have a good amount of (guitar) replacement parts - perhaps you'll find one that fits your needs?

www.thomann.de

www.rockinger.de

In the upper right corner you can switch the language of the site(s) to English...

Hope it helps

Re: Wx7 service repair manual

As you can see, the second set of numbers on the reg in my unit is different from the one in your pic... yours is 8802K ... where mine ends in xxx4K. Any significant difference? No - that might be the manufacturing date: 88 = year, 02 = week, K = ? maybe a kind of 'charge number' - or a 'code' for ...

Re: Begging for ROMS

You cannot upgrade the CPU! The CPU has a 32 k memory aera (it's like an eprom) which you can program only one time ! This is called OTP (one time programmable). Once it's programmed it can't be erased and/or re-programmed (overwritten). You'll either need a 'windowed' version of the H8/532 CPU (whi...

Re: Wx7 service repair manual

Those are voltage regulators - the one shown in the above picture is either a "7808" or a "7908" as you can see the 7?08 in the inscription: VoltageRegulator.jpg These common parts are cheap to buy. Edit: here's a pic where the part is shown (same type of power supply!): VoltageRegulator2.jpg So the...

What exactly do you want to flash (=program)?

Re: How to reset a Yamaha DX7s

As I see on the back of the DX7s there is only 1 output jack. So if I want to have stereo sound do I need to get a cable that splits the single output from the DX7s to two plugs? After a quick look at the schematic of the DX7s I can confirm that it's output is MONO - the headphone jack is STEREO bu...

Re: How to reset a Yamaha DX7s

The link Miks gave you should be ok although I did read the review and a user said he could not use it with a Mac because it would not recognise it. Hmmm - that's odd. The package definitely says you can use it also with a Mac - but the OS has to be Mac OS X 10.4 or higher... perhaps that was that ...
