Hmmm - that's strange - the tuner on my CPX700II Black works ok - no probs! Perhaps this one is a newer model?

You're welcome! I've also read that the crystals could go bad after a while, or that its just the CPU in the end. Those cases are very rare! Crystals don't like to take hard 'hits' and may get defective if getting some of those... and of course a CPU could fail - but I myself ever haven't had such a...

I heard back from Yamaha this morning and they said there were never any such issues with Motif and there was no keybed replacement offer.
