My girlfriend at the time bought me the 45 of "Come up and see me (make me smile)"

She said "'cos I used to make HER Smile" . . . . (she was a darling)😪

That was a GREAT Single . . . .

Re: Yamaha DX100 problem with starting

THAT is an excellent overview - THANKS for taking the trouble to write it all <rawl> One should also remember that with Synths of this age you should use LEADED solder (old school) . . . The pcbs on these synths don't react well to the new LEAD-FREE Solder, and if you are re-soldering, the two types...

Re: MODX/MODX+: Quality issues with data list documents?

As to the quality of the documentation this seems to becoming a lost art now. Just look at how poor the operation manual for the Montage M is compared to the classic Montage. The PDF version is just made from the HTML one without even working links for the contents. Formatting reminds an amateurish...

Montage M series and SampleRobot®

Just seen this on their Site . . . .

https://samplerobot.com/blogs/news/new- ... hip-landed

Possibly old news now - but some interesting detail on background - and plans to better-support the

Montage M differences in forthcoming releases . . . . .

Re: <Set as DEFAULT>

It really is not complicated at all. Turn on the synth, set everything in a state you want it to "default" to next time it it powered on. Job done. It should not revert to some basic set of parameters decided upon by the designers. This is EXACTLY what I was meaning. When I was working at...

<Set as DEFAULT>

A Myriad of settings abound in modern boards . . . . As Musicians - no two of us are alike both in HOW we work - or WHAT we deem IMPORTANT . . . Where a host of options are listed in a menu - it SHOULD be possible to choose what you wish and <set as DEFAULT> It should NOT be necessary to endl...

Re: Specially for <Saul>, <shelly0624> and <Derek>

Likewise Derek - I've not heard this for years (Vinyl is in the Loft) Steve's style is very much his own - and SO different . . . . As I mentioned before - I've been to one of Steve's "Orchestral Genesis" Type Concerts some time ago. The Musicianship on display is simply Breathtaking . . ....

Re: Most unique Piano Covers!

I don't know Despacito, BUT I don't think Scott would have complained at all . . . .

Your technique seems spot-on to me - nowhere to hide with the unadorned Piano. . . .

We are fortunate to have decent sounding pianos from most boards these days . . .

Nice Work

Re: Value of Yamaha EX5 in 2024?

Yeah - I'm sure 110v will be fine. Japan adopted many US standards after WW2 . . . . As to the rust? I would guess the BASE is pressed metal sheet, which may be coated in <Black> or possibly just Galvanised Steel - <Silvery>? If it's galvanised - then its possible that the galvanising has been compr...
