Re: LinuxFx 10.5

Why on earth would anybody want to make a half-way decent operating system look like Windoze X?

Re: TEMPO RESET

Hi Sebas, and welcome to YM. The information about what was fixed in which release is incomplete and sketchy at best. The tempo reset issue you are having has not been noted in recent releases that I know of but the general recommendation is get to the latest version no matter what, just don't pay o...

I'm sorry but they both sold quite quickly and forgot to post here that they had gone.

Re: Amazon removes 20k reviews after evidence of profits for posts

I was quite sure these things existed but not to that extent. Tip of the iceberg, I'm afraid. Won't make a jot of difference. The harsh reality is that since the 'net has become 'business' the bottom-feeders and money-grabbers moved in big-time. Cue the 'Influencers' and 'YouTubers' aka morally ban...

Re: So . . . just HOW effective IS a Mask . . . . . ?

Wow, what an eye opener.. I just ordered a clear face shield; the ones that fit like glasses on your nose. We saw somebody wearing one and they said it was a lot easier to breathe in one of those. I'll give it a try. Interesting video - glad someone stepped up and did this, what was the WHO...

Re: EX5 non-responsive buttons / SD card reader SCSI issue

Hi,

Try these :) The EX5 is on SCSI ID 02 (really). MO0 is CF in a PCMCIA adapter, MO1 is Smartmedia, MO2 is CF, all on line in the EX!

Re: EX5 non-responsive buttons / SD card reader SCSI issue

Hi Waystein, There is no reason at all why disconnecting the SCSI cable should have any effect on the buttons other than physical cable dislodgement. Correct termination is always desirable but in my experience the short cables in the EX plus the limited number of devices (board, ASIB1 and drive) do...

Yeah, I know how it feels. I'm still conflicting with Google myself, don't see that ever ending :)

As to the server, it has been very responsive, noticeably more so than before the move. Good work!

Re: Yamaha EX5R Knobs non-responsive - Troubleshoot?

OK, but the knobs are critical unless you plan to drive it from a DAW so if you can't get the diags run it would be risky not to mention it is a bit of a high price for a rack with a non-minor issue.

Re: Yamaha EX5R Knobs non-responsive - Troubleshoot?

All knobs non-functional suggests a board failure of some sort. You night be lucky if it is an internal ribbon connector broken loose but the probability of that is low. Can you get the diagnostics run?

Even making allowances for caching it is much faster on initial load and navigating around the forums (even some I have never visited, for testing) is noticeably more responsive.

Re: Power off message - Voices & samples gone

To enter diagnostic mode press VOICE + H + PART 8 buttons simultaneously and you will get a menu. I would normally stress saving voices first but that would seem a bit redundant.
