Low Volume

Unread post by BernardJTrinidad »

I recently bought the MOXF8 synth and a pair of JBL LSR3600 monitors connected with XLR Male to 6.3mm 1/4 inch TRS Male Pro Audio Video Stereo MIC Cable (15 FT), Gold Plated.

I love this keyboard but I have 1 issue...

The volume is so low I have to max out the volume on each speaker and the MOXF8. How can I get the speakers to louder so I don't have to set the volume to the max setting which is producing the hiss sound???

The headphone jack produces a louder sound than the monitors itself.

I'm unaware of JBL LSR3600 monitors. You may be referring to LSR6300, but even that is a series and not the actual model number.

The MOXF line outputs are unbalanced, and the correct plug would be a TS type, not TRS. Depending on the design of the input stage of the monitor speakers, that might affect volume level.

There are MOXF settings in Utility mode that can affect output level.
[UTILITY] > [F1]GENERAL
[SF1]TG - Volume can be set as high as 127
[SF2]OUTPUT - L&R Gain should be +6dB for maximum
See page 140 of the MOXF Reference Manual for details.
