Thanks for posting that info Chris. I think we need some sort of sticky or faq somewhere so that the info is easily available to all. I might look at some way of adding it into the welcome email people receive when they register.

By the way, as long as you are in the full editor not the quick reply when posting or responding to a post you can actually drag a photo from your desktop direct into the message box. That just shortcuts the info Chris supplied. If you then look below the message box you will see the details of your attachment along with the option to "place inline".

Other ways to get images into posts are to link to them from other sources on the web. Just copy the url of the image and paste that into the message box. Then at the beginning of the image url place the img tags as in the example below.

Code: Select all

Hope all that helps?

You're welcome Saul.

I'd forgotten about using the [img] markers for remote images

Personally, I have a sub-folder under <My Pictures>, imaginatively called <Pictures for Forums> where I keep

often-used pics . . .

Floppy Disk Cleaner, Dry-soldered Joints, Cheap USB Midi I/F etc . . . so I know where they are when needed . . .

OK, I'll try a photo again. My last attempt was a colossal failure! :(
Success!! This was from when I was still using the old Peavey mixer. I would like to go wireless and get rid of that black spaghetti all over the floor. Unfortunately, the cost of decent equipment is prohibitive. The Shure 58s will have to do, I guess!
