Help to copy S90ES sounds to the Montage synth

Unread post by YAM-Anthony » Fri Jan 25, 2019 6:07 pm

Hi,

I’m very new to the use of forums so I hope I’m in the right place with my problem.

I just bought a Yamaha Montage 6 and I am very happy with it. I sold almost my whole old gig setup accept my Yamaha S90ES. I’m very font of the weighted keys and also more familiar with the sounds for now.

I would like to know if it’s possible to copy the sounds from my S90ES to my new Montage. Anyone familiar with this? Can it be done natively or does it need a workaround?

Maybe with use of a USB flash drive ore with any Yamaha (external) sound editor. I am familiar with the program Sample Robot but I would love it to have also the full control I had in the S90es I.e. with multiple layers.

I’m hoping to get some advise on this topic.

Thanks everybody for helping!

It's possible you might be able to do this with some combination of John Melas' tools for the S90ES and the Montage.

I'm not familiar with John Melas tools. Anything specific you can recommend? Do you mean the Sample Robot option?

We're not supposed to post links here. But google John Melas and you'll find 'em.

It IS ok to post SITES here, just don't make them LINKS

Sites that DON'T link back to us, count against us in the ratings . . .

SO - you can do this: yamahamusicians.com

Just don't do this: https://yamahamusicians.com :naughty:

i.e. just remove the stuff before the actual NAME :D
