1977 BB1200

My Yamaha BB1200 from the first year of production. Kinda like a cross between a P bass and an alembic.

See the super early headstock logo - before they put the model number on there (or Broad bass, which was the Japanese market convention I think)

As far as I can tell it's all original.

Now I've a feeling that on here you'll tell me I need to keep it - but any idea on the value of these? (Value I think is less than the worth, Fenders are the other way around)

Keep or not. That is an interesting argument all the time. I have only kept guitars which I play regularly. I sold a few at a loss because of that. Some guys I know buy and sell as a habit, playing one or two only. Not many guitars have intrinsic value more than their playability calls for. You mentioned one example. There are others.
In the end it is a personal thing. If you can afford to keep it and enjoy having it, then it should stay. Otherwise....
