Yamaha YTA-15 Combo Amp

Unread post by YAMAHAFan » Fri Oct 24, 2014 7:44 pm

Hi there, i just recently purchased a Yamaha YTA-15 combo amp, and wanted to know if anyone on here would be able to tell me more about it.

I tried searching online for any information regarding specs and/or info regarding it, and came up with nothing. Except this forum.

Attached below are pics of it. Can anyone give me information regarding it?

what year was it made? Is this specifically a guitar amp?

What speaker is in it? (there is no writing on the back of the speaker)

Any other useful info.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi YAMAHAfan , Welcome to the Yamaha Forums. :)

What you've got there is a 70's Yamaha Transistor Amp , 15 watt clean amp.
110-117 volt ac version for the american and japanese market.

Suitable for keyboards, acoustic guitars and electric guitars with/without pedals.

It's a straight forward amp: volume, bass, treble, blend and reverb.
The BLEND knob is the only thing I know nothing about, is it a balance for straight/reverb sound :?:

The ON/OFF/ON switch will reverse the ac inlet , so it can reduce hum in one of the on positions.

The two input plugs on the front is for high and low level inputs depending on the type of instrument you want to use.

On the back of the cabinet is a jack plug for a single switch pedal to turn the reverb on and off.

It's a semi open cabinet, and the speaker may have had a sticker, or printed info. Yamaha rarely left the speakers blank.

It looks to be in excellent shape for it's age.

Best Regards
Peter

Peter, thanks for the information regarding this amp.

Do you know what this amp would be worth?

I'm not sure if I'm wanting to keep it or not, and wanted to know what a fair market price would be for this?

Many thanks!

The smaller Yamaha amps usually doesn't reach high prices, but here's an example found online.

It all depends on condition.
