Can external inputs for the multi 12 have change sounds with each hit?

Does anyone know if the external inputs for the multi 12 have the ability to change sounds with each hit. I am trying to make an interactive ball that will bounce around the room and make a different sound when people hit it. I would like it to make sounds that I will program.

Interesting use of an electronic kit :)

Will move this to it's own thread as I think it is a different subject.
