Roland MT-200 to Roland JV-1010

Unread post by beginnerbass » Thu Jan 30, 2020 7:43 am

Just a basic MIDI question about the Roland MT-200. The MT-200 only has a MIDI IN and a MIDI thru on back. It has internal sounds but I was wanting to play MIDI files with the MT-200 but use the sounds from my sound module. Is there a way I can connect the two devices so I can hear the sounds from my sound module while playing a MIDI file on the MT-200? The MT-200 sounds ok but I was wanting to hear some different sounds. Note: my sound module has all MIDI IN/OUT/THRU connections but not the MT-200.
Thanks

I guess I should add that the Roland MT-200 is a 1992 floppy drive MIDI file playback sequencer with it's own internal sounds.
