Dear Friends,

Anyone who can give an answer to my question please.

I am unable to save my 10 registration memory as I am unable to find the method of executing it. I had two banks of registration memory saved. Only voice and not arrangement beats as I use only voice. Since I had voice expansion packages and wanted to install them in the keyboard but for some mistake I did not save the registration memory as I did not know how to save it and where to save it. I installed the expansion pack and after that all my registration memory got erased. Now I am hesitating to create voice sounds because as soon as I install an expansion pack the registration memory gets erased of all though the message comes, save your memory. I do not know where to save it. Please can someone help me explaining the method of saving my registration memory.

Thank you. :)

Hi sarathnmusic and welcome to the forums :)

I am not a Genos owner unfortunately but I would imagine you save your registration memories to a USB stick? I am sure someone else can confirm if that is the case. We do have a few Genos owners on the forum now and I am sure one of those will be happy to help just as soon as they come online :)

Thank you Saul for your reply. I hope I will be able to get a reply who owns a GENOS.

Thank you my friend for the kind reply.
This is not the answer I was expecting as I know this procedure, saving my voice in banks. I had saved edited voice in two banks, 10 voice in each bank (20 voice) My issue is that when I need to install an expansion pack in GENOS I get a message to say that, save your registration memory or all your voice data will be erased off.Now this is the exact place I get stuck. where to save these two banks as If i ignore the message, all my registration memory is gone. In order to protect the registration memory banks, where do I save it??? Is it to to the internal memory in the keyboard or to a USB?? If I am to save it in the internal memory, what are the steps I have to follow as previously I lost all my voice banks by installing an expansion pack. I still find it hard to execute this task. Where do I save it?? what steps I have to follow as It is not mentioned in the owners manual. I hope someone who would have understood my question.
Thank you and hoe to receive a favourable reply.

When you save your user registrations actually on the Genos, not to USB, where are you saving them to?

Have you set up a folder structure for your saves? I'm just thinking if we know what location you save to it might be easier to see why they are being lost when loading external data.

Dear Saul,

Thank you for your reply.

As you say I agree with you. I should be able to find what location and the procedure to save this registration memory. Surely there should be a place to save in the keyboard internal memory. As long as I do not install any expansion pack, the registration memory remains. The moment you install any expansion pack, all the data gets erased. I am trying to find out the exact location to save this. It took some hard time for me to create these voices as to my taste and I was so devastated to see all my registration memory lost.

Please if you can get some information from someone who use a GENOS.

In my GENOS, I do not use the arranger as I use only the voice of this keyboard and when I save the created voice in registration memory, it is so easy to change from one voice to another quickly when you have 10 voice in one bank .

Thank you and hope to see a favourable reply from someone who reads my message and especially a person who owns a GENOS. (Y) :)

Hi,
Two possibilities:

1. Save your Voices, Songs, Registrations to USB
Genos Manual page 37

2. Data Backup & Restore
MENU -> UTILITY -> FACTORY RESET/BACKUP
Genos Manual page 105

Hope this helps

Best Regards
Kevin [GENOS owner]
