Looking for VL-1 / VL-7 Voices parameters

Unread post by EXer » Wed Oct 11, 2017 9:56 am

I'm looking for the Equalizer Band data of VL-1 / VL-7 Voices :

► If the owner of a VL-1 or VL-7 reads this post, could you please send pictures of this screen of your VL-1 / VL-7 for the voices listed below ?

Many thanks.

What I want to do is to program those VL voices on my EX5.

The EX5 has all the preset VL elements (i.e. the physical models) for those voices, but it does have only a few preset VL Voices based on those elements, which means I will have to program the data of the equalizer at Voice level:

N.B. I know one can find the formant lists for instruments which give the frequency and Q of bands for each type of instrument on the internet, but there is no translation from actual freq and Q to Yamaha VL voices parameters (values 0~127).

Hi EXer, Looking at the midi Data Format for the VL1 I see 1056 settings split between two voices, so there are around 528 settings per patch. Are you sure just getting the Equalizer settings is going to do it for you?
