Pianoteq 7 Just Released

Unread post by Derek »

As it says in the title

https://www.modartt.com/pianoteq

And a very good upgrade price to upgrade my standard version (I don't play piano well enough to justify the pro features!) from 6 to 7 for €29.

This video is great for those wondering what Pianoteq is all about. They guy was pretty entertaining as well

I already had Pianoteq Pro 6 but the extras in Pro 7 had to be worth €29 :) I haven't checked out the new features yet but will go through it at the weekend. Fantastic piece of software (Y)

The new features are simply amazing, Saul. Apart from the model improvement there’s morphing and layers now. And a new NY Steinway, free if you have the Steinway D pack.

It's always a toss up between Pianoteq or or SGX-2 in my Kronos as to which one I use; they are both superb sounding pianos.

However, the way I look at Pinaoteq is how I look at IK Multemedia's Hammond clone wheel; if it is endorsed by Hammond Suzuki then it must be good. Diito for Pianoteq when you see Modartt's endorsements from Steinway, Steingraeber, Bechstein, Blüthner, Grotrian and Petrof. If all of these esteemed companies endorse Modartt's piano models of their instruments, then Modarrtt must have something special....

And I still maintain that Pianoteq does the best CP80 emulation out there. Turn on their built in chorus and you have the classic Tony Banks EP sound.

Sweet.
And Saul, you seem to have the full Studio enchilada, not unlike me. Fun to be had with morphing and layers.

I do and there are a LOT of parameters to play with. I don't go really in-depth with it but I do tweak things here and there. Morphing and layering bring some interesting results!

I do have a stack of other piano "samples" but Pianoteq is my "go-to" acoustic piano software (Y)
