Using my psr e 463 as a midi to my pc need help

Unread post by Idkhowtokeyboard » Sun Mar 10, 2019 10:33 pm

I connected my keyboard to fl studio and i want to play the samples from fl, but when i try to play it plays the sample sound and the sound already loaded in the keybaord itself. Is there anyway to turn the sound from the keybaord off and just play the sample sound from fl studio on the keyboard. I am new to the psr and really need help

I apologize if this doesnt make since and is worded wierd. I am on mobile and have never used this site before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Idkhowtokeyboard,

welcome to the YamahaMusicians forum (Y)

Please see page 68 of the user manual -> MIDI -> Local Control

If you turn the Local Control function to OFF the keyboard's internal sound generation is switched OFF - but the keyboard still 'produces' MIDI messages (note on/off, pitch, portamento, modulation and so on) to control your FL Studio software.

If you want the PSR itself to sound again simply set the Local Control back to ON. Hope this helps
