Honda GL1000 Goldwing

This was another bike I owned back in I think 1983 ish.

It was incredibly smooth and powerful. You would be hitting the ton before you knew it but happily, no speed cameras back then ;)

Despite it's size and weight it also handled really well especially at low speed. This was mainly due to it's low centre of gravity.

I didn't have it long. I managed to throw it down the road doing 105mph! Went into a tank slapper and threw me off. Luck was with me though, my only damage was a torn glove and a cut my thumb and the bike came off with cracked cam cover and cam wheel (belt driven cams on this one). Happy days :lol:
