The photos that have been posted show the CFX in the upper left corner of the 4x4 grid on the LCD screen:

And notice "All 9 Bars!" Some people were expressing doubts that the four sliders would allow for live use of drawbar organ voices.
That's pretty close, if not identical, to a similar page on the Montage. When I get five mins, I'll check it for comparison.

From what I can see just looking at the screen now it seems very similar if not the same as Montage but of course, it has been around 12 months since I had Montage in front of me.

This I think is the first screen on Montage:

Hi,

That's pretty close, if not identical, to a similar page on the Montage. When I get five mins, I'll check it for comparison.

PS: the organ paradigm will be no different to any other AWM machine (or any S&S ROMPLER). It will be a collection of premixed drawbar samples in each element that you have no control over in totality. Not unless you have a nine element machine and the sliders to cope with it, so a Montage AWM part is short by one element (and one slider). However, with the Montage, you could have eight drawbars separate in one eight part performance, and the 9th in the other, assuming they have sampled the raw rotors in isolation. And so long as you don't want to individually manipulate the draw bars whilst playing (I don't as I am more of a static drawbar per song part, Rick Wright type organ player) then that would be OK. But you watch some organ players and they are "playing" the drawbars all the time. Then there is keyclick/percussion, rotor leakage, note foldover, vibrator scanner, leslie...... and there is no way a sampled organ will compete with a modelled organ.

I was gutted when Native Instruments dropped B4II (a modelled organ I used in Pure Floyd) and went for a sampled instrument to replace it. It was utter rubbish in comparison. So thank heavens for the Kronos and the CX-3 engine when I joined Welsh Floyd in 2014.

And too be honest, as much as I love the Montage, the organ sounds are crap compared to the (Kronos CX-3 engine, which is now over a decade old - it was in the OASYS). I played the Montage organs once and they had a big "meh" from me. So organs are not the Montage's (or MODX) strong point, IMO

FYI: The best of breed for modelled Hammond organs at the moment is GSI Soundware VB3 coupled with the IK Media Leslie Model brought together in a live host like Cantabile. I know respected Prog Rock Musos who swear by this combination (they hang over at the Cantabile Forum)

It even beats the Kronos CX-3 engine, so if I enter a band that needs the best in Hammond sounds (without having a real Hammond), then this is the route I'll be going.
