Parametric, way too complicated (and it's the second request to do a poll - see above I already did that ;) )

The poll only needs two options - play at home or out at gigs (and that includes so-called worship gigs)...simple!

One question:

"My purchase of (or interest in) the MODX is at least partially for the purpose of live performance." Yes or no. I think that covers it?

I bought my modx for live purpose and have sold my S90, even thought it's keybed was far superior. Weight and sound/sampling were key for me. I have noticed switching sets has a screen touch delay, which can be a problem live. Although there are workarounds it's simply not as snappy as older synths.

If your principal intended use is LIVE, then it would be prudent to be able to offer Balanced OUTs.

(A pair of single channel balancing boxes, or a two channel one, and the requisite leads)

The Engineers setting-up will thank you for that - especially if you are connecting to a rig that is not yours . . .

Doing so, just removes another source of possible problems . . . .

(The Montage HAS balanced Outs, the MODXes Don't)

Always nice, but more important for long cable runs. In my case, gigs usually fall into one of two categories: (a) gigs with a house system and a sound person, and they have direct boxes, or (b) gigs with no sound person, where my keys are going into an amp or mixer that is very close to me.

Indeed . . .

The Gig I did last year with Procul Harum at the RFH here in London, the Mixer was about 30m from the Front of the Stage.

It occupied the back three rows of the Orchestra Stalls . . . .

Yes, the balanced outs of the Montage are nice! Although most of the time we now play using a MIDAS MR18 or similar which is basically a stage box with a built-in mixer and the control is on the PC or iPad over WLAN. So the importance is not as big as it used to be for us.
