Hey all,

So guys - what're you all putting in that space where the instructions sticker is on the right side of the board?

Mines got a Behringer model D on it. And it's great having the Boog so close for real time manipulations etc.

Cheers.

Welcome to yamahamusicians.com Benskia :)

Quite a handy space there on the right of the MODX, just right for an ipad I think ;)

So far, it's been an iPad, but I'm thinking of putting a Gemini module there. Roland Boutique modules would be nice, too.

I think you could put a lot of things there but you do have to make sure you protect the surface of the MODX. That matt finish is not the most durable I have come across.

You're absolutely right! That's why I use one of those mushy pads, like this one:

It works great and it doesn't leave any marks when taken off.

Hi Squishy,

Yeah, it’s me.
Wow - what a good memory you’ve got.
Good to see you’re still making music.

I use this space for my iPad mini which has a leatherette case. I open the case and have the top flap hang over the back of the Modx - this keeps the iPad from slipping down. Very convenient.

My Elektron Analog RYTM MK2 drum machine fits there perfectly.

It was actually a small but not insignificant part of my decision to buy a MODX8! I've very little space so any doubling up of surfaces is a major plus point for me.

What do you think of the mock-up of the right side of my eventual MODX8...? :D

Just the right size for this. What the MODX lacks in some expressive features (aftertouch), this thing makes up for - in spades...

Hi Guys, I'm Definitely gonna use that space for my Ipad Air. Got a little stand for it and it should fit there nicely. But that Roli Seaboard looks even better there.
