I will be expanding my modx8 and Genos with Ipad sounds..
I will be using AUM (backed by uadiobus) as the host..
Now most things are covered by modx..
things the ipad needs to fill :
- virtual analogue, both monophonic and poly synth..
- wavetable synthesis
- huge orchestral sounds
- a VL type of physical modeling synth
- electric piano..
- a steinway piano
Just looking for tips..
What are your ipad experiences..
What are your favorite auv3 and iaa apps?
Any input is welcome

Re: Modx and ipad..
I use Cubasis with a fairly full complement of iOS apps.
Korg ...
Odyssei: Great sounding VA suitable for mono and some poly duty.
Module: Pianos, EPs, all sorts of stuff, including a full "Triton" set available.
iWavestation: It's a Wavestation ... what else to say?
iM1: Comes with ALL the ROM cards.
iMonoPoly: Excellent mono and poly synth character.
iPolySix: uh-huh, it's like THAT.
IK Multimedia ...
Syntronik: It's like a catalog of famous analog and digital synth sounds.
Arturia ...
iMini: It's a MiniMoog in spirit and attitude, even if imperfect in its emulation.
iSEM: If you ever wanted a Oberheim 4-voice, this is your muse.
iSpark: Every famous drum machine ever made. Here's your LinnDrum, DMX, etc.

Re: Modx and ipad..
I do know of one for the Steinway piano requirement and that’s Pianoteq from a company called Modartt. It’s the only product I know of that has the imprimatur of Steinway & Sons itself. It comes in three levels - Stage, Studio and Pro. I started with Stage. This give you minimal tweaking and a choice of two sound packs. I chose the Steinway D for grands and an upright acoustic. I plan on upgrading to Studio soon to give me more control of the model and another 3 sound packs. There is a free (limited) demo you can try for yourself.

Oops, sorry! I do have two that I use on my iPad that I can recommend, Ravenscroft 275 and Ivory (via the Korg Module).
