Song in audio format after recording in midi

Unread post by allreddv » Sun Mar 03, 2019 12:12 am

New to owning modx8 and to the forum.

I recorded a song and saved it, however seems like I can only export the midi file and then whenn I try to play it all the sounds are converted to the voice of the player (i.e. garage band). Is there a way I can export the song to a playable mp3 or wav file with the sounds of the modx once i recorded it in midi or is the only way to rerecord in audio mode to the usb?

Hi allreddv and welcome to the forums :)

If you still have the song saved on the MODX then the easiest way to record the actual audio would be to connect the audio outputs on the back of the keyboard to your computer via an audio interface. Then play back your song on the MODX and record the audio into GarageBand or any other DAW software.
