Microphone and guitar with the MODX

Unread post by Eduardo Rojas » Tue May 28, 2019 9:20 pm

Hi! :D

I know there're billions of MODX youtube videos around, but I haven't found a proper one using a microphone or a guitar (acoustic or electric)

I have a couple of questions

1- Is it possible to keep the microphone on, with fx assigned, while changing presets (performances)? (I'm thinking as the mic to sing, not vocoder)
2- Same question with guitar
3- May you record your vocals and guitar to the multitrack sequencer?
4- How does actually sound a guitar plugged through this MODX?. Hopefully, if you have audio or video examples!
5- is it possible to use mic AND guitar at the same time (every one through an input)?

:D

Hi, I did some experimentation so I answer to the best of my experience:

1. yes and no: the audio input has an on/off button so you can keep it on, but the effect applied depends on the active performance
2. see above. only one button
3. well, is a sequencer so why should record your analog audio :-D
4. in my opinion the effect block is quite capable, so I get some decent sounds with 20 minutes of playing around
5. I can't see why not, there are two inputs. In fact I made a preset for using them just in pass.through for having the guitar in stereo coming out of ModX L/R line outputs
