A friend and I compared his Nord Stage 2 and my CP73 back to back today (through his Yamaha DXR12 speakers).

The Rhodes on the CP are far better than those on the NS.
Did the Nord have the latest Rhodes samples loaded into it, the V6 ones that just became available for the NS2 this past February? Eight different Rhodes sample sets, with more velocity layers than the previous versions of those same Rhodes models.

He had: MK1, Sparkle-Top, and Neffertiti.

But did he have the V6 versions of those Rhodes that became available in February? V6 is not about having any new models, but rather improved versions of the Rhodes models they already had. (The NS2 doesn't have access to the five new selectable EQ filters for all those EPs like current Nord models do, but the NS2 can still load the more detailed sample sets.)

I just checked and yes he has the 'V6' releases.
