According to the FAQ, some boards might not allow attachments, and attachments also might not be allowed for all users. I know that many forums require new users to have a certain minimum number of forum-relevant posts before attachments are allowed. I don't see a list of allowed file types in the FAQ, though.

Hi,

When we discussed setting up this part of the forum, the question of which file types are permitted by the actual forum settings was not really sorted out.

I'm quite sure you can simply compress the .wav file(s) in a .zip and attach to the post. Same thing can be done with library and performance files.

Also, if you attach a .mp3 clip, an audio player will appear in the post automagically to play it.

EDIT: I've just ask to see if this can be clarified in some way and will post an update after I get a response.

Hi dfinucci,

I got confirmation that putting the files in .zip archives and then upload is the preferred way of working for unsupported filetypes.

I unfortunately have no list of the actual supported formats but expect all file formats used by the MODX to be unsupported.
