Not that we’re trying to put anybody of off this NI position!

Some will love the city, but not us old curmudgeons or so it seems!! :)

Cities need to be cleaner, with less traffic and MUCH better public transport systems in place but either through a lack of political will or "big money" interests we just never seem to move any closer to that goal.

Driving anywhere now is a pain in the ass to put it mildly. It seems no matter where I am going or how much earlier I leave, there is ALWAYS a hold up, either because of seemingly endless roadworks or because someone has stuffed their car/lorry into another car/lorry. Take a diversion? Nope...more roadworks and everyone crawling along at slower than walking pace. There is just no sense to it at all!

If people who could work from home did actually work from home and we staggered the school opening closing times the roads would be a lot less jammed and essential services such as police, fire and ambulance could get to where they are needed in a much shorter space of time. It would also help with the delivery of goods to stores and people's homes.

I have a feeling that world I described will not fully materialise until I am gone or at least well into my old age...assuming of course I am not there already ;)

By the way, that is actually 4 jobs at Native Instruments not one combined post.

Software Engineer C++

Product Owner - Software

Agile QA

Senior Scrum Master

Might be worth another look?

Maybe we just have the wrong cities.... When I was working in Oz, I lived Brisbane, which seemed a clean, modern city. Quite liked Melbourne as well.

London just seems tired, dirty and dilapidated to me and full of people avoiding eye contact.....
