S2 / S3 slider repair

I recently repaired the master volume slider on a GEM S3 Turbo, and just wanted to share the details in case it helps anyone.

All of the slider potentiometers on the front panel are 10k Linear, 45mm long, with 30mm of Travel. I found getting hold of something compatible was a real issue, particularly matching the footprint & the lever profile.

I ended up buying a couple of these from Ali Express:

They have the correct physical footprint, but the wrong electrical footprint and lever shape. So I dismantled the slider I'd removed from the S3 and swapped its lever into the newly purchased one - it's a simple enough job, just prise open the can and swap the parts over (having given them a good clean first).

Once soldered back in, all that was required was to link two pins on the rear of the circuit board. A few photos follow:
