Yamaha DG 80 (A) / DG 100 (A)/ DG 130 (A)

Unread post by Real-JJCale » Tue Dec 03, 2019 12:37 pm

These amps are still fantastic soundmachines and worth to be treated well and carefully preserved (although their finish have a remarkable high quality and they're built like a tank).

I'm saying that as a tube "fetishist" who owns more than a few amps as working tools for different music styles.

My DGs are part of my amp-pool and the only ones which are able to cover all styles of music with a convincing quality (live & studio).

My dream would be a reissue (with the same built- & sound quality) of the DG 130A BUT as a stereo-version with tap-controlled Delays etc.

That would be the perfect amp for so many users...

Best regards
RJJC

P.S. strange to be the first poster here! - and many THX to David Krause for his engagement towards the DG-Users all over the world!

Don't want to be a grandstander, understand my post as an admiration for this peace of (sound-) art by Yamaha.

Welcome to the forum and the string section. :D

I ABSOLUTELT AGREE ((i)) DG amps look and sound great. ((i))

I have a few of them myself: DG-60FX-112 , DG-100-212 , DG-130H , DG-1000 and DG-Stomp.

David Krause has joined this forum, given free hands to continue his work here. :D ((i)) :D

Hope you'll let your voice be heard here on the forum in the future.

Best Regards
Peter

Great to see that this forum comes alive earlier than expected! And thanks for the kind words :)

At the moment I'm preparing the content from the old yahoo-group to get it reissued on this place. I was also able to download the DG-Stomp, AG-Stomp and UD-Stomp forums! As this gear is based on the same technology than the DG-amps and the old forums are dead I tend to include them here.

All the old threads will be available as mbox files soon. Unfortunately the export from the old yahoo groups is anything but perfect. So there is some manual editing needed before publishing them again. Mbox files can be imported into most e-mail clients. There are also some free viewers for almost any platform.

The content of the files section including all the documentation, software, patches etc. is about to be sorted for double postings and obsolete software...

So stay tuned!

David
