Check this out - ASM Hydrasynth with polyphonic aftertouch!

Here is a new synth.
It is the most interesting synth I have heard in the last 30 years (with exception of MONTAGE and MODX.

This thing is too awesome.

BEHOLD! HYDRASYNTH!

Very interesting bit of kit and not as expensive as I thought it would be after seeing the video. Of course it will be a LOT more expensive here in the UK but nothing new there :/:

For me the most impressive aspect is the polyphonic aftertouch and it proves the lie that manufacturers cannot bring such features to the mid-range. (Y)

HYDRASYNTH has only been out for a day and already its generating a lot of buzz.

Sonic Talk has put out a discussion on it.
Unfortunately the video freezes at about 30 secomds in.
I hope they fix that.

I agree that the polyphonic aftertouch is a huge draw.
Oh and that ribbon controller, some good stuff.

What a great pairing the HYDRASYNTH would be with a MODX.

If I needed a 49 note controller and had the spare cash I would definitely be tempted!

That polyphonic aftertouch is incredibly useful as is the full length ribbon controller. Bet it is going to be a silly price in the UK though :(

It does look interesting and not that pricey given it has poly AT.

RRP is $1300 for the keyboard version and $800 for the desktop, but of course how does that translate to a UK price?

I will be looking for a new toy later in the year, so may look at this a little more closely.
