It's a funny thing but I was always of the opinion that I only ever needed ONE guitar but as the years have gone by you end up buying guitars you really don't want to part with..and so the "collection" begins ;)

I think you guys have probably got enough guitars between you to start a "Yamaha Guitars Museum"!

I know it's all sort of academic all these "what would you choose" type questions but actually for me it did make me focus a little more on what my one guitar would be were I to go back to that premise of just owning a single guitar.

The other thing of course is that the guitar I chose, the Dowina Acero is not out of reach. It's not one of those crazily expensive acoustics you need a mortgage for. Retail is €1599 so it's doable for me...just about anyway. Likewise the AER Compact 60/3 TE is around a grand (£) and the standard non TE version is £899 or thereabouts.

So not the sort of thing for spending your loose change on for sure but still within the realms of feasibility :)

I know it's not really a pedal but would a Pandora qualify?
Is that the KORG Pandora Stomp or did you mean something else?

Yes Sir, if the members here opened a museum it would probably be the biggest and BEST guitar collection worldwide. ((i))
Well, I'll keep the faith anyhow, great members. (Y)

It would stink to actually have to choose one guitar to keep and get rid of the rest. Out of my herd it would be the Weddington over the SG-2000. They are truly a quality instrument.
The Kemper amp does seem like it would cover a lot of ground as far as diversity goes and I would love to try one out.
I like every ones choices though for equipment. Saul that truly is a beautiful acoustic guitar, made with all the right stuff. (I love ebony fretboards)
It probably is a tougher choice for George and Peter though, so many choices!!!!

Well I think the premise of this question was IF you could choose one guitar, one amp and one effects pedal what would you buy? So it's not a "give up what you have" scenario. I couldn't give up the four acoustics I have and I can't imagine any of you guys giving up the wonderful selection of guitars you own.

I absolutely love acoustic guitars so they would always be my first choice. It's hard to get across to anyone who has not seen and played a Dowina just how good they are. When I was lucky enough to stumble across them it was like finding the holy grail of guitars, they really are that good! All hand made, with a love for the art of guitar building that that shines through in every guitar they build. The Dowina Acero is an all solid Flamed Maple guitar, which really a picture cannot do justice to. Anyway...you get the idea, I like Dowina guitars

I don't have the Acero here unfortunately but I am going to attempt to do videos of the Chardonnay GAC DS, Cabernet DC and Rustica GAC and hopefully translate how well they are built and sound. Just waiting on new mics to arrive and they hopefully will be here by the weekend.

Was always intrigued by the Kemper Profiling Amp. I have seen it in use and it IS very impressive. It's one of those things I would love to try but funds just don't permit it right now :(

So no giving anything up and you can change your mind at any time. One guitar, One Amp + Cab if needed, One Pedal or effects board etc :)

Because of what I do band-wise, I would have a Ferrari red custom built deluxe strat, solid maple neck with Sperzel locking tuners, modified Wilkinson trem, David Gilmour EMG pickguard assembly, plus Roland GK-3 divided pickup. My pedal would be the GR-55 with a subsonic filter so I can use the COSM modelling, virtually any effect pedal Roland/Boss ever made plus a huge range of non-guitar sounds. That would plug directly into a very clear, full range stereo PA system.

Lucky me! I already have it!

I pretty much got my dream gear especially my SG 2100, SF 1000, SA 2200 with the SD Antiquities pickups. I am always looking for more sweet Yamaha for my collection like
SG3
SGC2
SA60 or 90
SX800
Weddington
Pacificia 14XX
Image
Japanese made Revstar
And the diamond, a wineburst SG 3000

Beautiful guitar :) I think there are only 4 Eastman dealers in Canada? Not easy for people to get hands on with one :(

Long and McQuade is supposed to carry Eastman although I've never seen stock in the local store . I have a AR371CE-SB-2 ..a jazz box , but I've never
actually seen a SB59/v ( only on UTube ) but reviews were all good . I've almost never got rid of anything . They could order one but at 2K plus it would be a risk .

Eastman are very good in terms of both quality of their guitars and customer service so if you were to order one I am pretty sure they would be excellent at sorting out any problems although I doubt there would actually be any. Not so sure about Long and McQuade as I have heard mixed reviews about that particular chain. What sort of reputation have they got there?

I've never had any real problems with them . They carry a huge selection of instruments of all kinds . They don't carry Revstars or Chapman guitars ,
but if Gibson products or Fender products are what you like they have a huge selection . I bought my Revstar at St Johns music which is the only place that carries them within reasonable driving distances .
