NGD of Yamahas

Unread post by Asmikace » Sat Nov 17, 2018 8:42 pm

After months away from home, return two new guitars, SE 1203 and SJ 800, along with a yamaha case for the SE.

The SE has sweet tone, nice cleans that can get overdriven with easy while handling metal tones like a humbucker. Has nice weight and construction to it especially that smooth neck through. Has dings including a scratch on the front I am hoping to fix, but considering how much the SE guitars get trashed in good shape.

SJ is a great Tele Blues Breaker. I love the neck and the neck pickup. Even the rusty strings I had a blast playing overdriven blues. Christmans came early for me.

Lovely guitars indeed.

I'd love to have a SJ like that but they are very rare in Europe. Overhere almost every SJ for sale is a SJ550HR :(.

Never played a SE with that kind of tremelo (not a tremelo guy), but she sure looks great.

Those SJ550 look like pretty nice but like the SE 700, they may be cheap most you see are missing parts or in rough shape. Supposedly Cornell Durpee played his own model of the SJ with a S/S/H configuration.

The tremolo pretty good but the main problem is the are is usually missing. I really want to get a matching gold one with it.
