Hi. Just treated my self to a RSP20CR in Rusty rat. Brilliant guitar but the Tone control/Fat Switch fells like something on a chinese toy. Very flimsy and no rotaion resistance at all. Wan't to replace this and my dealer will send me a new one so i can solder it my self. but i wonder i anyone have a wiring diagram for the RSP20CR?

why do you need a wiring diagram when you have a brand new working guitar right in front of you? make note of where all the wires are going before working.

I have a RS420 and love it . I have made one small change to it . I changed the bridge to a Gotoh . The way the saddles are cut just don't suit me .
In my opinion , the strings should be sitting on top of the saddles and the bridge Yamaha uses are slotted way too deep . It's an easy fix . The Dry
switch is loose and rattles , but works . I plan on buying a 502 with the wrap around bridge as soon as I can work it into my budget .

I just bought this on Wednesday. I love everything about it except the nut.

Beautiful looking guitar but I agree completely about that nut. I still don't know what Yamaha were thinking by putting that on a guitar.

Congrats on acquiring a Revie! Hope you love it as much as I love mine.
I'm not a fan of the look of the aluminium tailpiece, however. Apparently it 'reflects the Cafe Racer street bike vibe' (about which I have not a clue! )
I understand that the tailpiece is height adjustable, making for a 'random set of resonances'. If it is screwed tight to the body, the response is more stud tailpiece-like (but you can't replace strings). Raising it, thereby reducing the string angle imparts a more trapeze-like tailpiece sound.
Whatever.
Enjoy your new guitar! :music-guitarred:
