SF 1000

Unread post by JDZ » Mon Jan 21, 2019 4:08 am

Scored a very clean SF 1000

Does anyone know if the Yamaha case it came with might be original to the guitar?
Came with owners manual in front pocket (in Japanese), so wondering if case is original.

Beautiful, I know you don't have the case but you did get the sweet yamaha leather gig bag and the manual.

How do you like playing the SF 1000. It took me awhile getting use to the 24 frets but its a great sounding and playing guitar. You can get all sort of tones with the guitar.

Thanks! Yes it is getting a lot of my time.
Played it back to back with an SG, and the SG just isn't as versatile.

Thanks Bill - sorry I wasn't clearer, I meant the soft case/gig bag in the last picture.

Yes, the manual and gig bag came with the guitar.

Guitar is really versatile and find it easy to play. Haven't really explored that far up the fretboard yet, but will.
Definitely can get a wide range of tones with it! I really like the pickups :music-rockon:

The soft case is original. In all export catalogs during the time the SF's were produced it says "all electric guitars come with a hard case". In the Japanese catalogs there were separately priced hard cases and soft bags, including soft bags for the SF's like yours.

Weird combination with what looks like an English language manual. Or Japanese inside?
