Thought I would post this as some of you might like it. This is the pdf for all the Yamaha guitars announced at NAMM including the Line 6 stuff.

Excellent news.

The Line6 Relay G-10 in a new version.
Now with 9volt power, and not only the usb power being a bit difficult with pedal boards.

Some really nice guitars in there too. From my perspective of course the trans acoustic tech being put in a parlour size guitar is very interesting indeed. I am not usually a fan of these types of guitar as they can sound quite boxy and very restrained but with on board reverb it is a completely different story. I know how well it works in the FS-TA and I KNOW it will work well in the CFS-TA. Likewise bringing it to the classical guitar is a master stroke :)

Also really like those Variax Shuriken guitars. In fact what's not to like about all of them? :)

Nice, but we still need to work on Yamaha to work on Line 6 to do a left handed Variax again, or persuade Yamaha to put Variax electronics in a left handed guitar of theirs, or maybe do a Variax variation of what Roland do with their GK3 divided pickup and external unit. The latter is probably a missed market for Line6, and would allow them to target players who do not want to use a Variax guitar, but add modelling to a guitar they own.

TBH, would be more than happy with the latter, controlled from a Line 6 Helix, fitted to my Left Handed Mexican strat!

I agree about going down that same route of an external unit and pickup because it frees the guitarist to use whatever guitar he/she prefers rather than having to buy from a small selection from the same maker.

Either way, what's the route to petitioning Yamaha/Line 6 not to discriminate against us lefties out there! :)

Great info.

I booked a train and hotel for the 2019 Musikmesse in Frankfurt. I think Yamaha will be there too with all this great new stuff. Can't wait.

BTW: Any of you guys like the Ash Grey Revstar. Ok, I know it's all a matter of personal taste, but I don't like that finish :( . But who cares...... I'm just a grumpy old man 8) .
