Happy New Super Strat

Latest addition a mint RGX-1212A that came with OHSC and manual, tools. I have not restrung or cleaned yet as I'm enjoying playing it as is. Picture doesn't do it justice as it is pearl white that looks tinted depending on the light. Yamaha active pickups sound fantastic as well!

HNGD Jeff. This must be RGX number 3 or so isn't it. Looks to have an on\ off for each pickup.

Yes #3 and separate toggles for each pickup and a center tap for the humbucker. I've wanted one with active pickups for a while now and I have the pair of 1212's made in this series. The addiction continues. 8)

HNGD Jeff, looks brand new :D congrats ((i))

Is the output higher with active pickups, and does it sound more clear through a clean amp ?

Regards
Peter

At the same volume, the output is slightly higher than the RGX-1212S. Through the THR-10 on Clean it sounds crisp and clear, add gain and it sounds clear and distorted. If I switch to Modern and go high or low gain it still sounds bright and defined. I've yet to run it through the Amplifi-150 to see how it reacts with different amp/pedal combinations. I hope to start recording some songs soon, I've added a Yamaha YPG-535 to the collection to help with supporting instruments/accompaniment.

Thanks Saul, Of course it was one of those that's been on the wish list that came up for sale. I will however taper off on the buying as the wish list has got a lot smaller.
