Jim and I did it the way we did in the vein hope that one day Ski will resurrect EX5Tech, and we could then just point the .co.uk domain to the .com one, but I would say that is unlikely now. There is no significant cost overhead; the cost of a simple domain for two years is not even the cost of two beers, and the hosting is via a hosting package I have where I have slots spare. And sometimes you do something for altruistic reasons without worrying about costs. E.g. one of the slots I have is hosting a website for a friend, and he doesn't know it costs me, nor would I ask for money due to his circumstances. EX5Tech.co.uk is similar altruism for the masses.
