Free utility software disc for Yamaha synth owners

Unread post by tux »

Does anyone still have this CD mentioned in the following article?

Free utility software disc for Yamaha synth owners

Yamaha have produced a new CD full of free software aimed squarely at owners of their current range of synths -- the CS6x, CS6r, S30 and S80. The CD will be supplied free with the above-mentioned synthesizers in the UK and sent automatically to all currently registered owners (while stocks last). It contains a special version of Emagic's SoundDiver editor/librarian software, for both Mac and Windows PCs, plus FAQs, tools, utilities, and additional synth voices.
I'd be very interested in getting a copy of it ideally as .iso CD image file to download.

If its too large for the download section, Saul - I don't mind hosting it. I currently have a server running 24/7 and can easily make an account for forum members to download it.

If someone has it - and can make an .iso for me - I'll provide upload details . . . .

Oh dear, the start of that URL, I wonder what people normally upload there? ;-)

You could've lied and said that it's pronounced snus-kollen and is merely a watch-dog for the tobacco industry!
(this joke will be lost to most/all non Swedish speakers)

Downloaded, many thanks, the content looks very interesting with several bonus sound banks in addition to the editor. (Y)

lol, yes, depending on the pronounciation, that can actually get very close to some "under the belt" things.

Originally i wanted to create something similar to "PrisJakt" (price spy) for the swedish "Snus" (which i use - its wet tobacco going in under the upper lip for those who wonder) - hence why that domain was named that way. It ended up hosting my editors instead (right now) :)

Ah yes . . . Years ago I had a work colleague, married to a Swedish girl - and still is . . . - who made me aware of these . . .

Like a miniature tea-bag with tobacco inside. Supposedly to enjoy tobacco without smoking it . . . . slide one behind the upper lip . . . . neat idea, though I think these days, the nazis of the "Elf and Safe Tea" persuasion have decreed it has issues with skin cancer et al . . . .

In fairness, that may be so . . .

I used to use it a lot myself, but the proper non-teabag variety. Too expensive to get it imported here now though. ..which probably is better for my health.

But damn, it's nice! !!

I think that ledan is trying to cover up his dodgy online activities and that his site should be pronounced snusk-ollen though! ;-)

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but if anyone has a downloadable image of the Emagic SoundDiver for CS6x CD, I'd be incredibly grateful :)
