USB to host connector

Unread post by fraz » Sat Dec 19, 2009 5:08 pm

Hi,

there is a usb to host connector on the cs6x which can be connected via a usb cable. My cs6x is packed away currently but I would like to use it over usb. Do you need to use a PC driver to make it work with the usb side of things?

The studio connections won't work with the cs6x but there don't seem to be any drivers on yamaha synth.com...any info?

Don't bother answering....

Just had a quick search and it's a to host serial connection that is needed and not a direct usb connection as is on the MO6 for example....best to stick to traditional MIDI using the CS6X editor from yamahasynth.com

thanks,,,, :D

Glad you found your answer! Many times a quick glance at the owner's manual or Yamaha's site will answer our questions, many people simply don't bother. For those like you that really look for info, you are usually rewarded with knowledge quickly and become a more knowledgeable owner.
