Optical Digital Inputs

Unread post by puremusic » Mon Apr 08, 2019 11:43 pm

I'm thinking of future expansion, and I tend to prefer to go digital when I can to keep noise levels down. If I get several more pieces of rack hardware I'll probably need a few more optical digital inputs.

Right now I'm all out of optical digital inputs, my RME card's single one used up. There's an expansion board, but that's just +1 more and a bit pricey for just that. I could get an RME Digiface to get 4 more optical inputs, and the cost of a USB port and $450. But I wonder if there's a cheaper route?
