I don't use styles myself, and my PSR-E models are more limited than your Tyros when it comes to how many different style sections can be used-- i.e., the intros, main loops, fill-ins, and endings-- but a style lets you play a song as though you're being accompanied by a band. A style will have a number of parts which correspond to different MIDI channels-- drums and percussion, bass, chords, pads, etc. Furthermore, a style will typically have several sections-- up to 3 different intros, 4 different main loops, 4 different fill-ins for transitioning from one loop to another, and up to 3 different endings. By modifying the tempo, turning different parts on or off, and using different intros, main loops, and endings, you can usually make the same style fit a number of different songs. If I'm not mistaken, your Tyros even allows you to customize the styles to create new ones.
