I'm considering a ew410 but can not find information in the manual for the information on sustain pedal.

The question is since on gigs I play LH bass by splitting the the kybd actually doing that now on a ypt 300 since my Korg M50 died.
The question is can I have sustain only on the upper Piano side split and not on the lower half (bass) of the kybd split?

Yes, that is how the sustain works on the PSR-EW410-- it affects only the right side of the split, and does not sustain the voice on the left side of the split.
